Internal Bulletin 5 – 01/12/2004
The Fund’s Board of Directors held its 5th Session for the year 2004 on Tuesday 30th November, 2004. The Board considered the following matters at its session:
  1. Minutes of it’s 4th Session for the year 2004 held on 6th September, 2004 and approved on 4th October, 2004.
  2. Minutes of the 3rd Session for the Year 2004 for the Investment Committee held on 2nd November, 2004.
  3. Minutes of the 2nd Session for the Year 2004 of the Loan Committee of the Board dated 28th November, 2004. The Board approved the recommendations of such session to consider participation in the financing of the following projects:
    • Expansion of The 66 K.V. Network in The Kingdom of Bahrain
    • Education Buildings and Facilities in The Republic of The Gambia
    • Rehabilitation and Equipping of Health Centers in The Republic of Uzbekistan
    • Songia-Mtimenga Road in The United Republic of Tanzania
    • New Aqaba Hospital in The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
    • Construction of Three Roads in The Sultanate of Oman
    • Third Northern Dakar Road in The Republic of Senegal
    • Rehabilitation of Subsidiary Roads in Grenada
    • It also approved the recommendation concerning the start of Kuwait Fund's activities in the Democratic Republic of East Timor.
  4. 42nd Annual Report for the Year 2003/04.
  5. Decision by Circular No. 3 for the Year 2004 approving the amendment of Decision No. 22 for the Year 2004 approving the closing account and the Auditor Report for the Fiscal Year Ended 31st March, 2004.
  6. The Chairman of the Board of Director's decision Nos.4, 5 & 6 for the Fund contribution in the 9th Replenishment to the African Development Bank, 13th Replenishment to IDA and 6th Replenishment to IFAD.
  7. A Loan of 10 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Lyari Express Way Project in The Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
  8. A Loan of 3.1 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Madinaba-Soma Road Project in The Republic of The Gambia.
  9. A Loan of 4 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Irrigation and Drainage Rehabilitation project (Phase III) in The Republic of Albania.
  10. A Loan of 15 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Rural Electrification Project (4th Phase of the Second Part) in the Kingdom of Morocco.
  11. A Loan of 15 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Expansion of Salala Port in The Sultanate of Oman.
  12. A Loan of 26 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Improvement of Talkha Power Project in The Arab Republic of Egypt.
  13. A Supplementary Loan of 2 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Port Development Project in The Republic of Maldives and amending Loan Agreement No. 581 dated 24.10.1999.
  14. A Supplementary Loan of 2.3 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Techi Dam for Potable Water in The People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and amending Loan Agreement No. 366 dated 29.6.1989.
  15. Amending Board Decision No. 7 for the Year 2003 for the approval of Supplementary Loan to The Republic of Honduras for financing the El Coyolar Dam Project.
  16. A Technical Assistance of Kuwaiti Dinars 300,000/- for the financing of the feasibility study for the Ouagadougou – Bobo - Dioulasso in Burkina Faso.
  17. A Technical Assistance of Kuwaiti Dinars 150,000/- for the financing of the feasibility study and preparation of detailed designs for the Diabetic Medical Center in The Republic of Moldova.
  18. Reduction of the debt burden in the framework of the HIPC initiative for Republic of Senegal.
  19. The amendment of the Estimated Budget for the Year 2005/06.
