10^th February, 2009.  The Board considered at its session the Minutes of its 3^rd  Session for the year 2008 held on 10^th September, 2008 and authenticated on 7^th October, 2008. The Board also considered the Minutes of the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th sessions for the year 2008 & the 1^st sessions for the year 2009  of the Board's Investment Committee held on 8^thOctober,  25^th November, 21^st December, 2008 & 28^th  January, 2009 and the Minutes of the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th Meeting for the year 2008 and 1^st and 2^nd Meeting for the year 2009 for the Board's Internal Auditing Committee held on 9^th, 19^th November, 24^th December, 2008, 7^th and 28^th January, 2009.

The Board has approved in its Session the following:

(1) A Loan in the amount of 8.5 million Kuwaiti Dinars for the Expansion of Amman East 400 kv Substation Project in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 

(2) A Loan in the amount of 15 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Heightening of Roseires Dam Project in the Republic of Sudan.

(3) A Second Loan in the amount of 30 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Abu-Qir Power Generation Station Project and amending Loan Agreement No.(757) signed on 17^th January, 2008 in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

(4) A Loan in the amount of 14 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Social Development Fund Program of Operations (Phase III) in the Republic of Yemen.

(5) A Loan in the amount of 3.5 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Koudougou – Dedougou Road Project in Burkina Faso.

(6) A Loan in the amount of 5.7 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Kandadji Dam Project in the Republic of Niger.

(7) A Loan in the amount of 2 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Wajir Hospital Project in the Republic of Kenya.

(8) A Loan in the amount of 3.65 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Mbadlane-Sikhuphe International Airport Road Project in the Kingdom of Swaziland.

(9) A Second Loan in the amount of 2.9 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Rehabilitation of the Bekoratsaka-Boriziny Road Project (National Road No. 6) and Amendment of Loan Agreement No. (606) dated 20^th December, 2000 in theRepublic of Madagascar.

(10) A Loan in the amount of 10 million Kuwaiti Dinars for financing the Kalu Ganga Development Project in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

(11) The proposed amendment in the ownership structure of B.O.R. Bank (previously the Bank for Reconstruction and Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and amending the Loan Agreement No. (516) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

(12) Amending the Project Description in Loan Agreement No. (620) dated 9^th June, 2001 for financing the potable water supply in Matn and Jroud Aaley Project  in the Republic of Lebanon. 

(13) A Technical Assistance in the amount of 300,000 Kuwaiti Dinars for the preparation of Technical and Economic Feasibility Studies and Preliminary Design for Pumping of Dijla River Water to Hasaka and Khabour Project in the Syrian Arab Republic.

(14) A Technical Assistance in the amount of 140,000 Kuwaiti Dinars for the preparation of Technical and Economic Feasibility Studies and preliminary design for the Transmission Line and Power Sub-station in the in the Union of Myanmar.

(15) A Technical Assistance in the amount of 180,000 Kuwaiti Dinars for the preparation of Technical and Economic Feasibility Studies and Preliminary Design for 2 Road Projects: (1) Thmar Korl-Bavel-Sampov Lun Road and (2) Kon Damrey – Mali – Sampov Lun – Pailin Road in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

(16) Application of the HIPC Initiative to reduce the burden of debt owed to the Fund bythe Central African Republic.

(17)  Application of the HIPC Initiative to reduce the burden of debt owed to the Fund by the Republic of Burundi.

The Board also took note of the cancellation of Loan Agreement No. (709) signed on 8^thNovember, 2005 for financing the Male International Airport (4^th Phase) in the Republic ofMaldives.
