Technical Details:
| Project Objectives | The Project aims at linking the isolated rural areas and villages with urban centres and cities to facilitate the delivery of basic services and goods to these areas through the construction and development of rural and social roads in several governorates in the Republic of Yemen, which shall contribute in the social and economic development of the inhabitants of such areas, improve their living standards and alleviate poverty as well as enhancing the quality of transportation and reducing the cost of vehicles operation and the duration of commuting. |

| Project Description | construction of 13 asphalt rural roads in 9 governorates with total length of about 197 km, the average length of which is between 7 – 27.4 km and the width of about 6 meters comprising of two lanes, includes longitudinal and cross drainage works,retaining walls and traffic safety measures, consultant for the construction works and institutional support, including office equipment & furniture and training .also , the construction of 16 one way social roads through paving critical pathways on such roads in 7 governorates with the total length of about 79 km, the average length of which is between 5 – 2 km and the width of about 4 – 4.5 meters, surrounding belt of about 0.5 meters in the paved sections. also includes longitudinal and cross drainage works, retaining walls |
