Technical Details:
| Project Objectives | The Project aims at supporting the economic and social development in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania through meeting the local demand for transport services, and reducing the cost of transportation for people and goods, as well as facilitating the accessibility to services for the local community in the Project area. Moreover, the Project shall contribute in the completion of the road network that connects the northwestern part of Mali with Port of Nouakchott in the Atlantic Ocean. |

| Project Description | The Project comprises of the civil works for constructing a two-lane road between Banko and Basekno with a total length of about 135 km and a width of 7 m with 1.5 m paved shoulders on each side, the execution of water drains, and the supply and installation of road safety equipment. The Project also includes consultancy services for supervision of construction works, and institutional support. |
