Technical Details:
| Project Objectives | The Project aims to support the economic and social development and the poverty alleviation programme in the southern and south eastern Regions of Cameroon by improving their links with the Capital Yaounde and the port of Douala in all weather conditions, to reduce its transport cost and time, and to facilitate people’s access to markets and social services. The project will also assist in the regional integration strategy by facilitating people movement and trade exchanges between Cameroon and the Republic of Congo. |

| Project Description | The Project comprises the improvement of the existing earth road between Sangmélima and Djoum to bituminous regional road standards with a total length of about 103 km and a width of 7.5 m with 2.0 m paved shoulders on each side. The Project also includes, consultancy services for design review and supervision of construction works, auditing and institutional support for the Project Implementation Unit. The Roadworks and the consultancy services for their supervision are divided, for the purpose of financing and tendering, into two lots: Lot 1a: Sangmélima - Bikoula (about 65 km) Lot 1b: Bikoula - Djoum (about 38 km) |
