| Project Objectives | The project aims to meet the increasing demand for the transport of passengers and goods in the northern region of Democratic People Republic Of Korea, and to contribute to the economic and social development of the project area. The project also aims to reduce vehicle operation and road maintenance costs, and travel time. |

| Project Description | The project consists of the Construction of a New Pyongyang – Pyongsong Road, with a length of about 4.3 kilometer, consisting of two lanes, with a total width of about 12 meters, and shoulders of about 1.5 meter on each side. The project consists of the following components: 1. Civil works, which include Site Preparation, Earthworks, Drainage, Pavement Layers, Bridges and Intersections, Safety Provisions , landscaping and Traffic Signs, also construction of service station including Petrol Station, Car Wash and Shops , 2. Institutional support, which includes the provision of vehicles, office equipments, and training of road department personal. 3. Consultancy services for Preparation of Design and tender documents, and the supervision of the construction of works. |
