| Project Objectives | The project aims at supporting the socio-economic development in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, at large, through improving the irrigation systems' efficiency of the community managed irrigated agricultural land, which will contribute towards improving the food security status and, henceforth, poverty reduction. |
| Project Description | The project includes civil engineering works to improve the irrigation infrastructure In about 50 irrigation systems managed by farmers with the aim of securing sufficient quantities of water to irrigate about 7,600 hectares of agricultural land, in eastern and central regions, in addition to all complementary works. The project also includes improving the management of irrigation systems, improving agricultural practices, in addition to engineering services and institutional support. |
