Project Information

Project Objectives	The Project aims to contribute to the protection of roads, constructions, buildings and other investments, located on the Southern coast of the city of Cotonou from sea erosion and erosion of sandy beaches due to waves and currents, which will contribute to achieving the desired benefits from it to improve Cotonou's beaches located on the East of the port which is exposed to a severe marine erosion since the harbor was created in 1963, threatening residential and commercial areas along approximately 7.5 km from the beaches
Project Description	The Project consists of the construction of seven breakwaters in the sea to protect the coast, and bridging of sandy sea to compensate beaches along at about 7.5 km from the beach city of Cotonou located east quay Siavatto of the port of Cotonou. The Project also includes consulting services to review the engineering design and to prepare tender documents and supervise the implementation , also provides the institutional support for the Project Management Unit.
