| Project Objectives | The project aims to support the socio-economic development in Bamako city and the adjacent areas, by providing adequate and sustainable quantities of water from Niger River to meet the rapid increase in water demand, thus improving the health and social conditions of the residence at the project area. |

| Project Description | The Project consists mainly of the civil and electromechanical works to expand the Bamako water supply project phase (I) through the construction of new water treatment plant, main transmission lines, storage reservoirs, pumping stations, distribution networks, house connections and standpipes. The project also includes the consulting services for the preparation of the detail design, tender documents and project supervision, institutional support, in addition to the project management. |
