Technical Details:
| Project Objectives | The Project aims at meeting drinking water demand, contribute to improvement of general health, and improving the overall environmental performance in Mangochi District and reduce losses, and that by expanding of Mangochi water supply system to supply potable water to current population estimated at about 50,000 inhabitants and capable to satisfy about 93,000 inhabitants by Year 2036. |

| Project Description | The Project consists of raw water extraction facilities from Lake Malawi, purification plant with production capacity of about 13,500 m3/day, purified water pumping station with capacity of about 480m3 / hr, storage tanks capacity of 4300 m3 and distribution network including materials for house connection and pre-paid meters as well as consultancy services. |
