| Project Objectives | The Project aims for the integration of the roads network in Sinai Peninsula, increase of roads safety and decrease of vehicle operating costs and travel time, which will contribute to the efforts of developing the project area, and increasing job opportunities, in addition to facilitating obtaining health and education services for its inhabitants. The project also aims to facilitate the trade movement between Arish seaport and North, South, and Central Sinai areas, in addition to facilitating the trade movement between Al-Oaja Port and the areas of North Sinai. |
| Project Description | The Project consists of constructing an asphalted road of an approximate length of about 160 km, with 6 lanes (3 lanes in each direction with a width of 3.6 m for each lane), with a total width of 46 m which includes an island with a width of 20 m, and shoulders with a width of 2 m externally and 0.5 m internally. The Project also includes drainage structures works, protection and safety works, in addition to the consultancy services for the revision of the detailed engineering design and for the supervision of construction. |
