| Project Objectives | The Project aims at meeting the increasing demand for transport of passengers and goods on the Eastern area of Senegal, thereby promoting trade activities with the neighbouring countries, and thus contributing to the economic and social development in the project area. The project also aims to reduce vehicles operations and road maintenance costs, as well as travel time. The project will contribute to achieving a number of sustainable development goals (SDG's), the most important of which are goals number one (No Poverty), number eight (Decent Work and Economic Growth), number nine (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), number eleven (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and number seventeen (Partnership for the Goals). |
