The Kuwait Fund for Development is participating in the annual meetings of the African Development Bank Group for 2024, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from May 27 to 31. The 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Bank and the 50th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Fund commenced under the theme "Africa's Transformation, the African Development Bank Group, and Reform of the Global Financial Architecture."

The meetings aim to enhance discussions on how to reform the global financial structure to support Africa's transformation and sustainable growth. They focus on the issue of African debt as one of the main points of discussion, in addition to exploring ways to stimulate private financing both locally and internationally, and leveraging natural capital to bridge the climate finance gap and promote the transition to green growth in Africa.

A delegation from the Kuwait Fund is participating in the meetings, led by the Acting Director General and the Alternate Governor for Kuwait Mr.Waleed Shamlan Al- Bahar. The delegation aims to present unique and innovative insights to enhance international cooperation and contribute effectively to achieving shared developmental goals.
