Kuwait Fund Organizes Orientation for the 41st Batch of Participants in the Training Program for Newly-Graduated Kuwaiti Engineers and Architects

In the presence of Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund, Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar, the Administrative Development and Training Department of the Kuwait Fund for Development organized an orientation meeting for the participants of the 41st batch of the Training and Qualification Program for Newly Graduated Kuwaiti Engineers and Architects.

During his speech at the event, Al-Bahar emphasized the importance of the program as a key component of the Fund’s efforts to support human development in Kuwait. He highlighted its mission to develop national talent in the fields of engineering and architecture, aligning their skills with the demands of the local market and enhancing their professional capabilities.

He noted that the program is designed to empower participants with practical experience and modern knowledge, enabling them to tackle labor market challenges with efficiency and professionalism. This initiative contributes to preparing a generation of engineers and architects capable of making significant contributions to national development.

Mr. Al-Bahar further stated that the program, which was launched in 2004, continues to fulfill its objectives by addressing the needs of the local market for expertise in engineering and architecture, thereby strengthening the role of Kuwaiti professionals in supporting the country’s economy.

The program is structured into three phases over a duration of 13 months. The first phase, lasting three months, includes lectures, workshops, and practical applications covering engineering, technical, administrative, and financial aspects over 13 weeks. The second phase spans six months and consists of field training with international or regional companies, institutions, or organizations, where participants gain hands-on experience working within their departments.

The third and final phase, lasting three months, takes place in Kuwait, involving practical training with local companies, institutions, or factories, mainly within the private sector, to apply the skills they have acquired throughout the program.

It is noteworthy that the program has successfully trained 40 batches to date, involving over 1,000 newly graduated Kuwaiti engineers and architects. This success highlights the Fund’s dedication to developing human resources and nurturing national talent across various fields.
