Signature of a Grant Agreement for Financing treating the Syrian Refugees from cancer in the the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

 

A Grant Agreement was signed today in Jordan, between the King Hussein Cancer Center in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, whereby the Kuwait Fund provide a Grant in the amount of US$ 1 million to assist in financing medical treatment of the Syrian Refugees from cancer in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, within the framework of the humanitarian support to the Syrian Refugees.

 

                        The Grant Agreement was signed on behalf of the King Hussein Cancer Center in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by Her Excellency princess Ghida Talal, and was signed on behalf of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development by Mr. Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Bader, Director-General of the Fund, in attendance of His Excellency Dr. Hamad Saleh Al-Duaij, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Jordan.

 

                        The grant aims at the participation in financing medical treatment costs of the Syrian refugees within the framework of the humanitarian support to the Syrian Refugees in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan through:

 

  1. Diagnosis of the patients through lab tests, radiological images, taking biopsies operations and analysis of biopsies.
  2. Treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, physical treatment, medicines and bone marrow transplant.
  3. Surgery to eradicate tumors of any surgery related with the cancer treatment.
  4. Treatment of complications emerging from the treatment.
  5. Medical procedures to relieve pain.
  6. Palliative treatment.
  7. Emergency services
