Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development takes part in marking Africa Day 2023 for the seventh consecutive year at Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The Fund has a profound admiration for Africa's rich history and diverse culture, Acting Director-General of Kuwait Fund Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar said, reiterating the Fund's commitment to backing sustainable growth and development across the dark continent.

Al-Bahar also affirmed the Fund's keenness, through its continued cooperation with over 51 African countries, on bolstering ties with African nations in order to achieve further progress, prosperity, and development for the peoples of Africa.

Africa Day is an annual celebration held across African nations commemorating the founding of the Organization of African Unity, which ultimately became African Union. The event recognizes the remarkable strides made by African communities globally.

The African Union aims to promote unity and solidarity among African countries, and contribute significantly to economic development while fostering continental and international cooperation.
