Under the auspices of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) took part in the first edition of the Gulf Engineering Forum of Gulf Cooperation Council States.

 

The Forum, which kicked off on Sunday and lasts until October 31, hosts a significant number of experts, specialists, and pioneers in the engineering field from various world countries to discuss an array of specialized engineering topics focusing on the investment of opportunity provided by the engineering sector in Kuwait and other countries in the region, the Fund said in a statement.

Through its specialized pavilion at the exhibition accompanying the forum, Kuwait Fund displayed its media prints and publications showcasing its development role on local, regional, and international levels, added the statement.

The Fund also mentioned that its participation at such a scientific event is part of boosting its social responsibility on the local level through backing a number of activities and initiatives that contribute to supporting human development efforts in the country.

It is worth to note that Kuwait Fund has launched the "Training Newly-Graduate Kuwaiti Engineers and Architects" program in 2004 with an aim to back the future of the engineering profession through strengthen the level of technical and professional knowledge of Kuwaiti graduates.

The program also seeks to supply the local market with science competencies and expertise, in addition to international experiences in various engineering fields.

The total number of graduates, since the launch of the program and until 2023, is over 850 male and female trainees.
