The Kuwait Fund for Development Participates in the Gulf Forum for Sustainable Development and Project Management
The Kuwait Fund for Development participated in the Gulf Forum for Development and Management of Sustainable Projects, under the theme "Recycling Solutions, Energy, Water, and Smart Cities." The event was organized by the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Kuwait – Al Hashimi Conference Center.
The Fund showcased its media publications through its own booth at the accompanying exhibition of the forum. These publications highlight the Fund's developmental contributions in the field of environmental conservation.
Mr. Nawaf Al-Dabbous, Engineering Advisor at the Kuwait Fund, noted that the Fund's participation in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to support environmental initiatives and renewable energy at both the local and regional levels. This comes in light of a global trend and an urgent desire to address climate change issues.
It is worth mentioning that the Fund has financed several developmental projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and establishing a low-carbon economic system in various countries. Notable among these projects are the establishment of hydroelectric power stations in the Republic of Cuba, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Additionally, the Fund has contributed to the Wind Energy Project in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and to providing sanitary water in the State of Palestine, along with many other projects that contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
