Kuwait Fund launches the 13th edition of the annual initiative - Delegations of “Be Among High-Achievers” to Tunisia and Vietnam

The delegations of male and female high school students participating in the 13th edition of the “Be Among the High-Achievers” initiative, organized annually by the Kuwait Fund, have departed to Tunisia and Vietnam. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the delegations’ visits will last until the 26th of January.

Mona Al-Ayyaf, Director of the Media Department at the Kuwait Fund, said that this annual trip is part of the Fund's social responsibility. She added that the initiative is designed to motivate students towards success in their academic careers by rewarding them with a cultural and recreational trip to one of the countries with which the Fund cooperates and performs developmental activity. In addition, the initiative aims to introduce new generations to Kuwait’s stature and reputation among friendly nations, so that they can become future ambassadors, both home and abroad.

Saleh Al-Taqui, supervisor of the male student delegation, said that the students will visit several projects that the Kuwait Fund has financed and contributed to establishing, and learn about their positive impact on the people and economy of the country. He added that the trip will also include visiting several cultural and tourist sites in the Tunisian city of Carthage.

For her part, Fatima Al-Turkait, supervisor of the female student delegation, said that the female students will visit several development projects in Vietnam, such as the Multipurpose Rural Development Project in the Da Bac district. The female students will also visit various tourist places, including villages renowned to produce incense (bukhour). Al-Turkait explained that the delegation is accompanied by supervisors from the Ministry of Education to monitor the students throughout the trip.

It is worth mentioning that the Kuwait Fund launched the first trip of this initiative in 2010. To date, more than 300 high-achieving students have participated in the Fund's trips, visiting more than 15 countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Morocco, and Senegal.
