Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar, the Acting Director General, and the accompanying delegation are participating in the regular dialogue meeting between the institutions of the Coordination Group for Arab and Islamic Funds and the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The meeting, hosted by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, is being held in Kuwait on May 6-7, under the theme "Joint Financing for Achieving Sustainable Development." The meeting witnessed extensive participation from the heads of national financing institutions from the Gulf, Arab, and regional institutions, representatives of the member states of the Development Assistance Committee, heads of diplomatic missions in Kuwait, and experts and specialists in the field. It should be noted that the Coordination Group institutions include, besides the Kuwait Fund for Development and the Arab Fund, the Saudi Fund for Development, Qatar Fund for Development, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Islamic Development Bank, Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, OPEC Fund for International Development, Arab Monetary Fund, and the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND).
