The Kuwait Fund for Development continues to support development efforts worldwide, focusing on improving quality of life and enhancing stability and prosperity for local communities.

In this context, the Fund has launched a project to develop the sewage infrastructure in the city of Aden, Yemen, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and local authorities. This initiative represents a significant effort to improve the health and living conditions of Yemenis, refugees, and the displaced in the region.

The project, aims to improve the quality of life for residents of Dar Saad, Sheikh Othman, and Mansoura districts by developing sewage systems and reducing the spread of waterborne diseases, contributing to a healthier environment for current and future generations.

On this occasion, the Acting Director-General of the Fund, Mr. Waleed Shamlan Al-Bahar, stated that "This project reflects the Kuwait Fund's commitment to supporting initiatives that improve community health and well-being. It represents a vital step towards rebuilding the health infrastructure in Aden, which is fully aligned with our mission to promote sustainable development in the region."

It is worth noting that the Kuwait Fund has contributed to the financing of more than 30 projects in Yemen, reflecting its deep commitment to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region.
